Charminar

Charminar, standing in the heart of the city is the most famous tourist destination in Hyderabad. It is believed that it was built by Emperor Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 in honor of his wife Bhagmati. It is made of granite lime-mortar. Charminar is a square alike structure with 4 minarets each around 48 meters in height in the four corners of the square.
