Nehru Zoological Park


One of the largest and the best zoos in Asia, the Nehru Zoological Park has nearly 1,500 species of animals, birds and reptiles and spread over 300 acres of land. The popular ones among the different species are lions, white tigers, peacocks, parrots, chimpanzees and rhinoceros. The Lion Safari Park, Natural History Museum, a mini train and animal ride is also famous among visitors in the zoo.

It takes around 6-7 hours to cover the entire zoo by walk. Nehru Zoological Park is a must-visit destination for nature and animal lovers.

Chowmahalla Palace


Chowmahalla Palace is near Charminar and it was built around 200 years ago. It belongs to Nizams of Hyderabad. This palace consists of 4 palaces, two courtyards and the grand Khilwat (the Durbar Hall), fountains and gardens. This is the palace where the Nizams entertained their official guests and royal visitors. It has relics and mementos from the times of the Nizam. There is the display of their clothes, furniture, crockery and vintage cars collection which gives you a glimpse of their royal lifestyle.

Nagarjuna Sagar Dam

Nagarjuna Sagar dam is built across Krishna River in Nagarjuna Sagar, Nalgonda District. It was completed in 1967, is 150 tall, around 1km long and having 26 gates. It is about 150km from Hyderabad.

Saraswati Devi Temple Wargal

This temple is located about 70km away from Hyderabad in a village called Wargal in Medak district. The temple is located on a hillock. Two more temples of Lord Shiva and Lord Shani are also there on the same hillock. There is a beautiful idol of Saraswati devi around 10 feet in height.

Chilkur Balaji Temple

Chilkur Balaji Temple popularly known as Visa Balaji Temple is an ancient temple of Lord Balaji on the banks Osman Sagar Lake in Chilkur. It is about 25km away from the city. Approximately 75,000 to 1,00,000 devotees visit in a week.
